Brendon Singh, a founding partner of Tran Singh LLP, enjoys a successful practice with a focus in consumer and corporate restructuring and litigation. Brendon’s experience includes representation of debtors in Chapter 7, Chapter 11 and Chapter 13 bankruptcies, and out of court workouts. Brendon is Board Certified in Consumer Bankruptcy Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
Brendon has been recognized by Texas Monthly as a Texas Super Lawyer in 2022-2024 in the category of Consumer Bankruptcy and a Texas Rising Star for the period 2018–2022 in the category of Consumer Bankruptcy. Brendon has also been recognized by Houstonia Magazine as a Houston Top Lawyer for the period 2018–2023 in the category of Bankruptcy in addition to recognition as Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in the category of Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights/Insolvency and Reorganization Law from 2022–2024.
In 2020, Brendon was appointed by the United States Trustee to serve as a Subchapter V Trustee in accordance with the Small Business Reorganization Act of 2019. Brendon serves as a Subchapter V Trustee and is appointed to small business cases filed in the Southern District of Texas. Recently, he was appointed to serve on the Small Business & Subchapter V Rules Committee.
Prior to his partnership at Tran Singh LLP, he interned for the Honorable Judge Vanessa Gilmore in the United States District Court, Southern District of Texas-Houston Division and was a summer associate at Liskow Lewis, LLP in Houston, Texas. During law school he participated in the annual Duberstein Bankruptcy Moot Court Competition during 2009–2011 and since 2013 he has continued his involvement with the competition as a coach for his alma mater.
Brendon emigrated from Tobago with his family and is actively involved in the Houston community and takes pride in giving back in ways that create a meaningful impact, both to his clients and the community. Outside of his work, he is an automobile enthusiast and enjoys rebuilding and customizing vehicles.
