1. SCHEDULE YOUR INITIAL CONSULTATION

Once you have scheduled your initial consultation, you should expect to receive an e-mail from Tran Singh LLP which will set forth the information and/or documentation we will need you to review and complete prior to your initial consultation. In addition, you will receive a link to MyCase, our client management portal, and you will be asked to set up your own account through which you can safely and securely upload requested documentation and communicate with us any time. Please note that any information and/or documentation you were not able to upload through MyCase would need to be provided at your initial consultation.

3. PRINT, SIGN AND RETURN THE CIN LEGAL DATA SERVICES' CONSUMER AUTHORIZATION AND RELEASE FORM AFTER YOUR SCHEDULED INITIAL CONSULTATION MEETING
The purpose of the CIN Legal Data Services' Consumer Authorization and Release Form is to authorize Tran Singh LLP to obtain your personal credit profile from Equifax, Experian and/or Transunion in order to confirm your identity and avoid fraudulent transactions in your name; compile, merge and summarize data and data elements contained in your credit profile in order to present it in the bankruptcy specific format of the Consumer Liability Report ("CLR") product; provide the CLR and any products created therefrom to Tran Singh LLP for its use in performing due diligence and verification of your debts pursuant to the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005.

4. REVIEW AND GATHER THE INFORMATION AND DOCUMENTATION IN THE CONSUMER BANKRUPTCY CONSULTATION CHECKLIST BEFORE YOUR SCHEDULED INITIAL CONSULTATION MEETING
The Consumer Bankruptcy Consultation Checklist sets forth the information and documentation that Tran Singh, LLP will need in order to prepare for and file your bankruptcy case. We have also provided helpful links and resources for your use in gathering the required information and/or documentation to prepare you for your initial consultation. Please plan to bring the information and/or documentation in for your initial consultation. 5. MEET WITH TRAN SINGH LLP AT YOUR SCHEDULED INITIAL CONSULTATION MEETING
Having completed the steps illustrated above, you're now prepared for your initial consultation meeting with Tran Singh LLP. Your initial consultation may be in person, by teleconference or by video conference. In the event your initial consultation is in person, please arrive at our offices at your scheduled appointment time (Our Contact Us page contains a map and directions to our office). Whether your initial consultation is in person, by teleconference or by video conference, please send the documents requested above through the MyCase Client Portal, via e-mail at [email protected], or by fax at (832) 975-7301. You should expect your initial consultation meeting to be at least 1 hour and up to 2 hours. Should you decide to engage Tran Singh LLP to represent you, you will be provided with details on what you should expect, together with a timeline and additional information pertinent to your bankruptcy case. At that time you will also enter into an engagement letter which confirms the terms of your representation with Tran Singh LLP. You will have an opportunity to read, review and address any questions or concerns you may have with respect to the engagement letter and fee agreement, as well as any additional forms presented to and reviewed with you at your initial consultation.
At the conclusion of your initial consultation, if you have engaged Tran Singh LLP, you should plan to provide any outstanding or additional information and/or documents requested, which we will need in order to prepare your petition and schedules. Additionally, we will be unable to file your petition until you have completed the pre-filing mandatory credit counseling (see Credit Counseling); therefore, we request that you complete the mandatory credit counseling right away. Your petition, schedules and statement will be sent to you for review, to the extent that you do not have any changes or additions to the petition, schedules or statement, you will be required to initial each page and sign where provided.

6. SETUP YOUR MYCASE CLIENT PORTAL
After your initial consultation, if you haven't already, you should expect to receive an e-mail with the subject heading "Please activate your account with Tran Singh LLP" from the e-mail address <[email protected]> (please note that this is not spam or junk mail).
Click on the link provided in the e-mail to activate your account in the MyCase Client Portal, a private and secure portal which gives you access to critical case information and with your own personal login, send secure messages and share documents.
We encourage you to familiarize yourself with the various features of your MyCase Client Portal account and to download the app on your smartphone which provides you with all the same features and abilities as accessing through your computer, with the added benefit of always having your case information available at your convenience. By utilizing these valuable features in your MyCase Client Portal, you will more effectively communicate with us, send and receive documents and stay on top of calendar events such as meetings and hearings.

7. COMPLETE MANDATORY CREDIT COUNSELING
After your initial consultation, if you have not already done so, you must complete mandatory credit counseling. Before you file for bankruptcy relief, you must have completed a mandatory credit counseling course from an approved non-profit credit agency. To qualify for bankruptcy relief, you must show that you received credit counseling from an agency approved by the U.S Trustee’s office within the 180-day period before you file your bankruptcy.

8. PROVIDE OUTSTANDING INFORMATION AND DOCUMENTATION
After your initial consultation, if you were requested to provide additional information and/or documentation to Tran Singh LLP, we request that you do so within the time frame requested. Such information and/or documentation can be provided to Tran Singh LLP either through your MyCase Client Portal, via e-mail at [email protected], or by facsimile at (832) 975-7301. We will not be able to prepare your bankruptcy petition, schedules and statement until any and all outstanding items are received by our office.
The preparation of your bankruptcy petition and schedules, assuming all required information and/or documentation has been provided, will take approximately 3 to 5 business days. Please note that special circumstances may permit this time frame to be expedited; therefore, please let us know if your situation requires immediate attention.

9. MEET WITH TRAN SINGH LLP TO REVIEW AND SIGN YOUR BANKRUPTCY FILINGS
Once your bankruptcy documents have been drafted, you will receive an e-mail from MyCase notifying you that documents are available for your signature. Please read through the document, or documents, you are being requested to sign in its, or their, entirety and be sure you understand the information presented and contents therein. Should you have any questions regarding the document, or documents, please call our office to discuss prior to affixing your signature.

10. BANKRUPTCY FILED WITH THE BANKRUPTCY COURT
Thank you for selecting Tran Singh LLP to represent you in your bankruptcy matter. Although as a component of your initial consultation, we detailed what you should expect regarding your newly opened case, we want to be sure our clients are well informed, and have the information and resources available to them in order to have a successful bankruptcy. Upon filing the petition, we will provide you, through your MyCase Client Portal, a file-stamped copy of the petition filed with the Bankruptcy Court, your filing date and your assigned case number.
